Women’s Rowing Program
The Winter Park Crew Women's Program is one of the premier high school and youth rowing programs in the country, with a proven history of competitive success, experienced coaching, and developing a community of dedicated student-athletes.
Our Middle School rowing program provides a focused training environment for younger athletes to learn the sport, build skills, and prepare for the next level.
The Women’s program has consistently competed among the nation's best, earning multiple national, Southeast Regional, and Florida state championships, qualifying crews for the USRowing Youth National Championships, and racing at the prestigious Henley Royal Regatta in England. In addition, the program’s athletes are consistently recruited and continue their rowing careers at NCAA Division I, Division II, and Ivy League programs across the country.
Led by Head Coach Mike Vertullo for the past 27 years, our Women's Program develops complete student-athletes through expert technical instruction, strength and conditioning, and competitive racing.
From athletes discovering rowing for the first time to experienced competitors pursuing national and international racing, every rower becomes part of a close-knit community of teammates, coaches, families, and alumni while being challenged to improve, compete, and reach their full potential. Along the way, lifelong friendships are formed, unforgettable memories are made, and connections are built that extend well beyond race day.
The season runs from August through May, with competition at regattas throughout Florida and the East Coast. Athletes have opportunities to compete for state and national championships, pursue collegiate rowing recruitment, and experience some of the highest levels of youth rowing competition in the world.
